Who We Are:
Pawsitive Home is a unique community organization dedicated to preventing pet surrender and keeping families united during times of financial hardship. We operate on a simple but powerful belief: no family should have to choose between putting food on the table and keeping their beloved pet.
Our Mission:
Our mission is two-fold:
1. To provide direct, tangible support to families struggling with pet-related expenses.
2. To act as a dedicated mediator between tenants and landlords, advocating for the right to responsible pet ownership and preventing evictions.
We focus exclusively on helping people, not shelters or rescues, because the most sustainable solution for a pet is to remain in the loving home they already have.
How We Work: A Transparent, Direct-Aid Model
Pawsitive Home revolutionizes pet philanthropy through a 100% transparent, direct-pay model. We never accept cash donations.
Direct Match Program: Families in need are carefully vetted and then matched with compassionate community members who want to help. The helper pays the vendor (e.g., a vet clinic, pet store, landlord) directly. This ensures every dollar goes exactly where it’s intended—you see the immediate impact of your generosity.
Merchandise for Good: We offer a line of branded merchandise (t-shirts, hats, etc.). 100% of the net proceeds from every sale are used to fund our aid programs, creating a sustainable cycle of support.
Landlord Mediation: Our team works with both families and landlords to negotiate pet policies, provide pet resumes, and secure agreements that allow pets to stay in their homes.
